Embroidery Services
I am now able to offer an embroidery service for single items and short runs. Practically any coloured image or text can be digitized from an appropriate artwork and used to embelish your garment or sewing project.
Prices for embroidery vary depending on the amount of design, digitizing and the number of items you require embroidering.
Typically, there will be a "setup" charge starting at £20 plus a "per item" charge of £10 minimum for a small pocket-sized (8cm x 8cm) logo or image.
Design
If you already have a prepared design with an image that you want to embroider and a suitable artwork (usually a medium-high resolution jpg file will do) that you can supply, then we can commence immediately with the digitization process.
If you don't have a design or artwork prepared, I can help you create a suitable image/message to suit your garment or sewing project.

Digitization
When the image artwork is complete, it will be digitized prior to being loaded onto the embroidery machine.
Even though this should be an automatic process, it usually requires some manual input from me to tweak the final image, and perhaps even create a new artwork if the old one was of poor quality. This could also require any text in your image to be re-entered directly from the computer as this tends to produce better results than digitizing a typeface from an artwork. When the image has been successfully digitized it can be transferred to the sewing machine.

Testing
The digitized image will then be tested on a piece of fabric (similar to the item to be embroidered), before embroidering it onto your garment or sewing project, to prove that the quality of the embroidered image is satisfactory.
When the image has been succesfully tested, your item(s) can be embroidered.

"Per Item" Costs
The "per item" cost of embroidery will depend on:
- how big the final image will be
- how many threads colours are required
- how much stabilizer is required as backing for the image
- how many items you want embroidered
The quality of the embroidered image is usually excellent and in some cases superior to industrial-type machines that are capable of producing dozens or even hundreds of items.
I'm sure you will be delighted with the quality of your embroidered item(s).
